When Qainat & Tuna envisioned their wedding, they wanted a celebration that reflected both their love story and their city. Opting for a venue as timeless as their bond—a grand library in downtown—they created an experience that was both deeply personal and beautifully immersive for their out-of-town guests.
An Intimate Nikkah Surrounded by Nature
Their wedding weekend began with a breathtaking Nikkah ceremony, set in a private space within the venue. The couple wanted to keep nature at the heart of their aesthetic, incorporating towering greenery and romantic floral arrangements that softened the grandeur of the space.
Blush-toned roses, deep crimson blooms, and cascading greenery framed the couple, creating an ethereal setting where tradition met contemporary elegance. The bride, adorned in a rich, deep red ensemble, sat gracefully in front of a floral-draped backdrop, embodying timeless beauty. The groom, dressed in classic black and white, mirrored the understated sophistication of the evening. With natural light pouring in through the venue’s grand windows, the ceremony felt intimate yet grand—a perfect reflection of their love.
A Reception Designed Around Guest Experience
When most of your guests are coming from out of town, choosing the right venue is key! Qainat & Tuna wanted their friends and family to experience their city without the hassle of transportation. By choosing the Harold Washington Library in downtown Chicago, they ensured that everything was walkable, making it easy for guests to explore, connect, and celebrate together.
A Personal Touch – Spot the Birds!
One of the most unique details? Their wedding cake featured replicas of their pet parrots! 🕊️ This thoughtful addition brought a piece of their everyday love into the celebration, making it even more meaningful.
Their wedding was more than just a celebration; it was an experience curated with intention. From the seamless transport of their out-of-town guests to the warm, inviting atmosphere of their reception, every decision was made with love and thoughtfulness.
At Afrin Designs, we were honored to bring their vision to life—blending the beauty of nature with the elegance of a city landmark, creating a wedding as unforgettable as their love story.
